Do the Yamakuchi Hiroshima area pass cover the express JR bus fee from Shin-Yamakuchi to hagi ( link attached below )

I don't find any Bus included in JR west page but individual bus website claims their bus are covered by JR pass, so I want to clarify the hagi's one, thanks

No, the pass does not cover any buses.

The one way trip from Yamaguchi Station to Hagi costs 1760 yen and takes 60-80 minutes. From Shin-Yamaguchi Station it costs 2060 yen and takes about 90 minutes. The Japan Rail Pass is valid on these JR buses. "

The Japan Rail Pass covers the JR Buses to Hagi, but the Yamaguchi Hiroshima area pass does not. It is as simple as that.

The Yamaguchi-Hiroshima pass is a pass of JR West. JR West does not operate any buses that I know of, and in particular the bus to Hagi is operated by JR Bus Chugoku, which is a completely different company. Perhaps it is time to stop referring to "JR trains" or "JR buses"...

You can still take a train to go to Hagi. You don't need to pay for a bus. The castle area is quite uncrowded also, and very enjoyable. During cherry blossom season, it is superb.

You are asking about a JR-West area pass, not about a nationwide Japan Rail Pass.

Hiroshima-Yamaguchi (not Yamakuchi) Area Pass is among area passes offered solely by JR-West, which are not valid on any bus lines.

"Japan Rail Pass" refers to a (set of) nationwide pass(es) offered jointly by the six regional JR rail companies, which can be used mainly on JR rail lines but also on some local bus lines operated by JR bus companies. The name is officially spelled all in capitals.
